Green Fuel, Is It A Step Nearer?
While the debate about the environment continues to roll on, the debate about the use of “green†fuel has also been reignited of late. Despite a vast array of promises from the governments of the world, global warming and the environment are still very hot topics.
Many promises have yet to be fulfilled, and there is more and more pressure being exerted by the “green “ parties.
It seems inevitable that over the next few years we will see a bigger push towards environmentally friendly fuels, recycling and much more. Fuel is a subject which seems ever more vital when we have an oil price reaching all time highs, and more increases forecast at the pumps. While it seems that there are many alternatives out there, it appears that there is always some kind of drawback, whether it be price, demand, supply, etc.
As the fuel producers continue to invest heavily in green fuels, it seems inevitable that we will see a major shift at some stage - whether this requires further government funding, or incentives to the tax payer remains to be seen. Unfortunately, at this moment in time some of the more efficient and “useable†green fuel vehicles are out of the grasp of the general consumer.
