Broadband, TV And Telephone Service “Bundlesâ€, Do They Offer Value For Money?
As the consumer appetite for broadband and extra TV services continues to grow, we are seeing more and more of these so called “bundle†deals. These deals “bundle†all of the three services together, and are offered to the consumer at a “reduced†rate, but do they really offer as good a value as some may have you believe?
When considering the value of these offers for you situation, there are two main issues to consider :-
· Do you actually use all of the services included?
· Do you make sufficient use of the services to make it worth while?
While on the surface there are great benefits to be had when buying the multiple services through one provider, many customers may be able to arrange cheaper single agreements for individual services if they investigate further. It is not always the headline offers which are the best value, many companies may offer large reductions or free periods for certain services.
While the initial price which you pay for your “bundle†may offer great value at the purchase date, many customers have complained of large price hikes after a very short space of time. This kind of business strategy plays very heavily on the UK consumers attitude to change - with many consumers too “busy†to change and go through the process again.
As with any technology products of today, it is essential that all avenues are explored, and just because is it advertised as the cheapest offer, it may not always be that!
